About the Role

We are seeking a Distribution Centre Shift Supervisor to work within the Distribution Centre. It will be the Distribution Centre Shift Supervisors responsibility to ensure that health & safety is adhered to at all times and the smooth running of the tasks in the Distribution Centre. Whilst we’re professional and committed, it is also a fun, friendly and sociable environment to be in.

About the Accountabilities

  • Ensure all daily customer orders are picked and despatched on time
  • Ensure pick accuracy levels and packing standards are met/exceeded
  • Daily booking in of all lines received from UK suppliers and Customer Returns within 24 hours
  • Oversee and ensure all daily Bulk storage & Pick face replenishments are carried out
  • Ensure daily stock put-away is cleared and daily stock control tasks are completed 
  • Monitor packaging levels
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are in place and maintained including outside areas (loading Bays/skips)
  • Ensure all staff are wearing correct uniform and PPE where required
  • Offer cover for other DC Team Leaders/Managers for holidays, absence, meetings.
  • Complete daily/weekly/monthly Health & Safety checks
  • Planning of holiday cover within your team
  • Regular recorded dialogue with your team, 1:1s. Appraisals & PDP

About You

  • Good Standard of MS products including Excel
  • Experience of working in a changing warehouse and office environment
  • Proven Communication, leadership and staff management skills
  • Flexible in approach to work including shifts/weekends/overtime as necessary
  • Analytical thought process and logical approach to problem solving
  • A can-do attitude and someone who welcomes stretching goals/challenges
  • Able to adapt, learn quickly and implement viable strategies
